Emerging Leaders is an FMEA opportunity for young teachers who show promise in professional leadership and advocacy. Those selected join the group for 3 years of training and activity within the Florida music community.

The success of this program relies on nomination of young teachers who reflect the geographic and cultural aspects of the entire state. The divisions of FMEA currently make nominations: FEMEA, FBA, FOA, FVA, etc., as well as district music supervisors. However, not all areas are represented in the nomination pool, so all FMEA members are asked to PLEASE CONSIDER NOMINATING A YOUNG MUSIC TEACHER, particularly if you work in an area with no music administrator or limited music opportunities.
