Richard Balach
President
Richard Balach is a senior Choral Music Education major at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fl. He will be continuing his service on the FCMENC Executive board as the President. He has also served as the Secretary for FCMENC during 2009-2010. In addition to his duties on the state level, Richard also serves as the current President of Southeastern University’s Chapter of CMENC. He sings with the Chamber Singers at Southeastern and is actively involved in other music department activities. He greatly values the opportunity to serve his colleagues as President and looks forward to a wonderful year ahead.
John Crane
President-Elect

Jonathan Crane is a sophomore Instrumental Music Education major at the University of Florida. His primary instrument is the saxophone, but he also sings whenever given the opportunity. He is currently serving as the president-elect of FCMENC, secretary of the University of Florida Chapter of CMENC, and secretary of the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Men's Music Fraternity. In addition, Jonathan is a member of the UF Symphonic, Marching and Jazz Bands, as well as the University Choir.
Michelle Guest
Past President
Michelle Guest is a senior instrumental music education major at Florida State University. Her primary instrument is the horn. In the past, Michelle has served on the Executive Boards for FSU's CMENC chapter and for the Florida Music Educators Association. Currently, she is completing her student teaching at a middle school in Orlando. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Music Education in December 2010. Michelle enjoys teaching music to students of all ages, and she is excited to start her career as a music educator soon.
Amanda Moore
Secretary

Amanda Moore is a sophomore Instrumental Music Education major at the Florida State University. She is actively involved in her CMENC Chapter, serving as Membership Chair. Amanda’s primary instrument is the flute, which she has played in the Marching Chiefs, Concert Band, and Flute Choir. Her activities outside of schoolwork include training to be a member of the College of Music Student Board of Advisors program, community service, and working with beginning flutists at a local middle school. Amanda hopes to teach in inner-city schools at the high school or middle school level in the future.
Alexandra Salas
Treasurer

Alexandra Salas is a senior Music Education major at Florida Atlantic University. Her primary instrument is voice. Alexandra is the current President of her CMENC chapter. She has held this position for two years, and prior to this was the Vice President. She is in the FAU Women’s Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Vocal performance Troupe Ensemble. Alexandra also volunteers in the Choral Music Library. After graduation, she plans to teach and pursue a Masters degree in Choral Conducting.
Lee Commander
Parlimentarian/Historian

Lee Commander is a junior Music Education major at The Florida State University where he studies saxophone. Among being a student Lee is also involved in several other activities around campus like The Marching Chiefs. He is also involved in Tau Beta Sigma where he currently serves as Parliamentarian of his chapter. He continues to work in his chapters CMENC where he is currently serving as Parliamentarian. Lee also works with the College of Music at FSU by serving on the Board of Advisors where he advises incoming students and works with administration to make the College of Music better for future students.
Chris Hinojosa
Web/Tech Chair

Chris is a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL where he has been involved with various instrumental ensembles on campus contributing on the flute and piccolo. Chris is also the CEO of Brit Spit Productions, as well as serving as the Media Director and department head for Ignited Media Productions. His discography includes over 20 different album recordings where he has written, arranged, and performed music for. He is a member of TI:ME, technology institute for music educators, and also enjoys scoring music for short films that have featured at film festivals such as the 180 Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival.

Devan Moore
Membership Chair
Devan Moore is a third year Music Education major at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fl. She is a member of the Marching 100, where she serves as the assistant leader of saxophones. Devan is also the CMENC President at FAMU. Her other affiliations include Kappa Delta Pi International Educational Honor Society and current Miss Kappa Kappa Psi.
Amanda El Shemi
Advocacy Chair

Amanda El Shemi is a dual degree student working on her B.M.E. in Choral Music Education and her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. She is very active in SGA serving as a Senator for the College of Social Sciences and is currently doing an internship with Senator Ring. While at Florida State University, she has participated in many groups and organizations including University Singer's, Marching Chiefs, CMENC, ACDA, Seminole Sound, Gospel Choir, Global Haiti Initiative, Capital Children's Choir and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is very excited to become a teacher in the future.
